12th September 2006Only just over two weeks to go- no more alcohol- feeling tired!!! keep telling myself it most be worth it 24th August 2006Only 36 days to go and my aerobic threshold is now at 149 bpm or 87% of the maximum. Working on legĀ strength is now my main focus, so more time down the gym at the Marlow Club 5th August 2006
I am now in my 7th week of training. This is almost half way though and now plan to increase from 4 to 5 times a week. Most of the time I am concentrating on base level training as well as climbing around 6000 feet a week. The only problem is that the hills around where I live are not steep/long enough. Steve (my trainer) having worked out my aerobic threshold yesterday I will need to increase this over the next few weeks. I am at 143 beats per minute with a maximum of 172. watch this space for any changes
